Podcast Editing and Audio Work 🎙
Podcast Editing
I’ve acted as a contracted audio editor on four podcasts since June of 2019. The episodes I’ve edited from most to least recent are
- Your Own Mind; Episode 1 (Composed the theme song)
- Archichechure; Episode 4
- Situational Significance; Episodes 6 to 11
- Take Some Molly; Episodes 1 to 8 (Composed the theme song)
My clients were dabbling in podcasting and discovering what direction they wanted to take, which means most of these shows are no longer active. I have found a love for working with audio in this way, and I firmly believe that oral storytelling is a powerful, accessible, and educational tool. I developed a blog series on starting a podcast for the Technically Functional blog.
I edit equally in Logic Pro X and Studio One. I also began to expand my workflow to ProTools as I composed for my senior thesis, which was published in June 2021.
Radio Advertisement
In the Spring of 2020, I took a virtual Studio Production class. We explored production techniques we could perform remotely, mainly mixing and mastering. One of our assignments was completing a radio advertisement, including originally composed music, appropriate sound effects, and spatial mixing. My advertisement was for a mock ad for a company from my hometown, Mountian Equip Recyclers. View the script I created for the project on Google Docs and listen to the advertisement on my SoundCloud.
